Η wikipedia γράφει για τον Κρόκο Κοζάνης:
Krokos is a small Greek town of 5.000 inhabitants, only 5 km south of the city of Kozani. It is the seat of the municipality of Elimeia, which is expected to join the municipality of Kozani by the end of 2006. Krokos has a modern telecommunications infrastructure, including broadband internet availability by means of ADSL.

Krokos is reknowned in Greece and abroad for the production of the Greek Macedonian Saffron, which is one of the world's most intense and valuable varieties. Saffron is used in cooking as a spice. The name Krokos comes from the flower Saffron = crocos in Greek and other languages.

"a small greek town" : γίναμε μικρή πόλη επιτέλους! Κάποτε λέγαμε ότι είμαστε κωμόπολη.. Όχι χωριό, α παπα παπα. Ούτε και πόλη με την αποξένωση και τα τοιαύτα. ΚΩΜΟΠΟΛΗ. Άραγε υπάρχει ακόμη αυτή η λέξη;

"join the municipality" : έμεινε λίγο πίσω η wikipedia.. Μέσα του 2007 και η περιβόητη ένωσις ακόμη αναμένεται..

"modern telecommunications.. ADSL" : απίστευτη πληροφορία, χαμογέλασα μόλις τη διάβασα. Πρέπει να προστεθεί ότι ο κρόκος έχει και το δικό του blog. Beyond ADSL..
